The Christmas Crib

This dazzling show inspired by regional tradition was created by the Tourist Information Office in 1998 with the support of the Town of Cholet, gathering 100 enthusiastic volunteers from technicians to actors, who tell the story of the birth to old and young through real life scenes in an original traditional setting. Carnival

Bigger and bigger every year, the carnival attracts tens of thousands of spectators and participants. Parades and entertainment of all kind gets the town into party mode. The parade of the music and dance groups will take place all Sunday long. On Saturday, at nightfall, several thousands of computer programmed bulbs illuminate the floats. Young and old, with each one their own skills, unite around the carnival. For several weekends these dream makers spend all their passion and energy to sculpt, glue and to paint in a gigantic way. So we can bet that the population of Cholet will be there, more and more throughout the years, to applaud the artists and also to reward them for their long months of hard work.  April, 11 to 17 2010.
